i started interning at a small, private firm called IPARQ, which deals with parking permit distribution and enforcement. i'm really thankful to my brother for helping me find this internship. i have been dealing with some accounting, and i find it pretty hard. there is something called bank reconciliation and it takes hours upon hours to complete b/c you need to analyze thousands of data. basically you compare and make sure the numbers match with the firm accounting records against another statement using microsoft excel. this is considered to be my first project and you have to be very careful when you work with reconciliation. two hours into this i had to start all over because i made a mistake without knowing and it was too late to make the corrections. hopefully through this experience, i can gain more of an idea of what i would like to do in the near future. i've never really considered accounting and i always wanted to do something else in the business field like maybe work in the corporate setting but i'll see what happens
