hmmm so i've been thinking about writing a new song for a while but it's not that easy. it takes a lot of time because you gotta be creative and whatnot. writing my first song took several months in advance before i actually came close to finishing. from my experience, there were long periods when no new ideas came to mind, but there were moments when i was in the "zone." my mind would be flowing with ideas instantly and my hand would be translating these onto paper. that's why i think that many artists today would carry a pen and paper wherever they go to jot down any ideas. because we tend to forget easily, it's a loss if you don't write down what you think. and i think most lyrics really portray what one believes in because it's fairly difficult not to write about one's own experiences. for me, i like to listen to different instrumentals to help me think out any good ideas. maybe the beats just inspire me to think out rhythmic words to become lyrical flows instead. but as of now.. i say song completion 10%
